Since the start of Re-use it in the summer of 2022, we have meticulously an array of workshops that explore diverse artistic disciplines. From digital design to graffiti, stencil art to letterpress, and textile art to name a few, each workshop was orchestrated to adhere to the project's scope.

Through these workshops, our intention was to introduce the concept of Re-use it and Collectie van de Gentenaar, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with and explore Ghent's cultural heritage. Moreover, these workshops aimed to bring the idea of the project to life by enabling participants to explore their artistic talents and enrich their experience.

More than 50 participants attended these workshops in total. Each workshop was hosted by an artist working in that field, who imparted their experience to the attendees. Using designs that Ersel Musmul had interpreted from the Collectie van de Gentenaar archive, the participants were asked to create new designs by applying methods and techniques they had learned in that workshop. The participants produced impressive works of art, showcasing their creativity and talent.
